Shakuni, the youngest of 99 brothers, finds himself in a tragic predicament after his entire family is imprisoned by King Dhritarashtra. They are slowly starved, and resolve to save Shakuni, instructing him to create dice from his family’s bones. Out of revenge, Shakuni pits Dhritarashtra’s clan against each other with a rigged game of dice, culminating in the Kurukshetra war. Shakuni is struck by the reality that the destruction surrounding him mirrors the death of his own family.

Ambika, a happy young girl, is sold to the temple as a Devadasi to provide money for the family. Men in power take advantage of Ambika, leaving her utterly ravaged and devastated. She tries to tell the Devadasi women what happened, but they silence her. Many years later, a mother approaches Ambika to sell her daughter to the temple, and Ambika breaks this cycle by refusing to take the daughter, instead offering her jewelry to support them.
Karna: A loyal Sacrifice (2022)
Karna, a skillful archer, defeats Arjuna, Duryodhana’s arch nemesis in a competition. In a race to be the heir to King Dhritarashtra’s throne, Duryodhana vows to kill Arjuna in the Kurukshetra War with Karna fighting on his behalf. Kunti, the Pandavas’ mother, reveals to him that he is her first born, and begs Karna not to fight his younger brother, however Karna does not heed her and ultimately sacrifices his life to keep the promise of a friend.

Princess Jasmine falls in love with Aladdin, in pursuit of a potential suitor and next ruler of the kingdom of Agrabah. She soon finds out that he was lying about his lover for her and only cared about the money and power of becoming King. She rushes to prove to her father that she is strong enough to rule the kingdom herself, and ultimately triumphs to save the people of her kingdom to show that women are capable of leadership and greatness.
Silappatikaram: The Tale of the Ruby Anklet (2020)

Kannagi is the daughter of a wealthy sea merchant, and the wife of Kovalan, but he leaves her to have an affair, and slowly loses all his money to the other woman. He tries to earn the money back by selling one of Kannagi’s ruby anklets, but the Queen’s anklet has been coincidentally stolen at the same time, and he is framed for this. Kovalan is beheaded by the king, and Kannagi breaks her other anklet to prove her husband was not a thief, and avenges his death.
Chitrangada (2019)

Chitrangada is born as the only child to the King of Manipur and is raised like a boy due to the lack of a male heir. When she falls in love with Arjuna, he doesn’t reciprocate, so she prays to the gods to get rid of all her “manly” qualities, and Arjuna then falls in love with her. When the kingdom falls under attack, Chitrangada appears to save the kingdom, revealing her true self to Arjuna; he falls in love with her all over again, and she accepts her identity as a strong woman.

King Akbar is approached by a merchant who begs him to help recover his stolen jewels and money. Akbar consults his right hand and friend, Birbal - a witty man who tricks the villagers to root out the thief.
